Remember this button will only be visible if you select the Advanced or Beta tab at the bottom of the webpage. After you have changed JiveLite to suit your preferences, you should save these to the SD card with either a "sudo filetool.sh -b" on the command line or you could use the piCorePlayer webinterface Backup button (see attached picture). Unfortunately the back button does not work.
Id say I have 95 functionality with this setup. Had to program it like a keyboard for Kodi and had to map the back and home buttons differently but it definitely works. I then go into the Harmony app and select Flirc / Kodi. I use this with my 2017 Nvidia Shield and Harmony 650.
#Flirc harmony setup android#
This should play/pause music playback.Īs for the JiveLite settings. I just picked up a flirc to use with my new Mi Android Box. To test if the FLIRC works you could map the space bar to the play button of the remote control. the Harmony software didnt program these buttons to send any IR signal I may have screwed up but nothing happened on the Flirc GUI when I pressed those. Of course you could also create your own configuration with v1.3.x. You have to downgrade to FLIRC v1.2.x to successfully import his configuration file. It does respond to keypresses by the normal keyboard though.Īnd on my setup Jivelite asks for inital setup every time when restarting the Pi2.Please be aware that Ralphy's FLIRC configuration does not work with FLIRC v1.3.x (if I remember correctly you won't get an error message or warning when you import Ralphy's configuration file).
#Flirc harmony setup skin#
I installed jivelite, save Ralphys FLIRC config to the dongle and restarted the Pi2, configured language and skin (only 1280x1024 worked) with an USB keyboard and configured my Harmony remote as a Squeezebox.īut I don't get any response byJivelite when using the remote. There are suggestions on this on Reddit and the Flirc forums. And you’ll also need to plug the Flirc into your computer and teach it various commands with the remote (like back, rewind, play, etc).
Since a have a spare FLIRC dongle from another project, I am trying to use it in my setup to get ir remote control again. Otherwise you can’t put the Shield to sleep with the remote. I m running PiCorePlayer 1.21g_RPi2 with an USB-DAC.
